Everyday objects seen afresh
Digital Experience and Aesthetics, IT University of Copenhagen, 2017. Toilet paper is an object used by the majority throughout the world on a daily basis. However, it still seems to be an intimate and private object that we rarely talk about. So what happens, when toilet paper is taken out of its regular use and viewed in a different way? In this research project we seek to explore form when the role of the toilet paper is separated from traditional practical expectations. Our starting point is toilet paper and its movement when rolled out. We then went to see how combined with stepper motors and wind, it could give a new experience and aesthetic.
